Yes and no. The ability to carry over unused funds depends on the credit value of the course you enroll in. If your course is 60 credits, you can carry over the balance into another calendar year. However, if you opt for a 120-credit course, you'll have utilized your allocation for that year. Don't worry, though! If you complete a course within a year and enroll in another in the same year, you can utilize your remaining Fees Free balance.

2. Can I use Fees Free for equipment or living costs?

While Fees Free is a fantastic initiative, it's essential to note that it exclusively covers your course fees. It does not extend to course-related expenses or living costs. You'll still need to make provisions for these aspects of your time studying.

3. What if I have studied somewhere else?

That is no problem at all - if you attended a different school and are transferring over to Servilles in the same year, you can do that!  

Are You Eligible for Fees Free?

To be eligible for Fees Free, the following criteria apply:

• You must be a New Zealander or ordinarily resident in New Zealand.

• You should either be a recent secondary school leaver or have undertaken less than half a year of tertiary study or training.

If you meet these criteria, you're well on your way to making the most of Fees Free. However, it's essential to remember that while Fees Free can cover your tuition fees, you may still need financial support for course-related costs or living expenses.
